This report as usual poses the policies adopted by the last governments under a critical observation, referring to the most relevant areas of public policy, such as public accounts, inland revenue, national welfare and assistance, health, federalism, public utilities, infrastructures. This year two issues of great importance for Italian public accounts and the prospects of the country’s economic recovery will be deepened: the role played in the last years by the austerity policies and the debate on PIT reform.
